1. Acceptance

These Terms govern your use of the Focus Four Android app. By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Opening this page does not record acceptance, and the app does not ask you to accept the Terms on screen. Nothing here limits rights that the law does not let you waive. The Privacy Policy explains how data is handled.

2. Eligibility

Focus Four is for people aged 13 and over. It is not directed to children under 13, and the app does not check age. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use the app only with a parent or guardian's permission. You need no account or sign-in.

3. What the app does

Focus Four is a personal task planner. You add tasks with a priority from 1 to 4, optional subtasks and a carry setting. The app shows today's board, History and Insights, lets you complete, archive and reopen tasks, and offers Undo for recent actions. You can export a backup file, restore one, and delete all data.

Automatic behaviour you should know about:

The app uses fixed rules, not artificial intelligence. It does not give advice, and its ordering and counts are only as accurate as what you enter, your device clock and your time zone.

4. Free app

The current version is free. It has no purchases, subscriptions or advertising. These Terms do not authorise any charge. We would announce any paid feature in a new version, and it would need its own terms before you could be charged.

5. Your data and backups

Your tasks are stored only on your device. You keep ownership of what you enter. We claim no right to your content and do not receive it.

You are responsible for your data. We keep no copy, so we cannot recover it. Data may be lost if you delete it, reset or uninstall the app, lose or change your device, or if a storage error or an interrupted update occurs. Android's automatic cloud backup is off for this app. Make backups with Export if the tasks matter to you, and keep the file safe. Backup files are not encrypted. Restoring a backup replaces your current tasks, history, drafts and settings, so export first if you want to keep what you have. The app limits restored files to 10 MB, 20,000 tasks and 100,000 history events, and task titles to 200 characters.

"Delete all data" removes the app's data from your device. It does not delete exported files, which you must remove yourself.

6. Acceptable use

Use the app lawfully. Do not:

We do not host, view or moderate your tasks.

7. Licence and ownership

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on your devices for your own planning. The app's software, design and branding belong to us or our licensors. The app includes open-source and third-party components, such as Expo, React Native and the Inter typeface, under their own licences. These Terms do not change those licences. A VeriCode name or logo does not give you rights to use the brand. The app does not claim any registered trademark.

8. Other services

The app needs no online service to run. When you export or restore, you use Android's Share sheet and file picker, and any app or cloud service you choose handles the file under its own terms and privacy policy. Google Play and your device's operating system provide installation and updates under their own terms. We are not responsible for them.

9. Not professional advice

Focus Four is a planning aid. It is not a medical, legal, financial or safety tool. Do not rely on it as the only reminder for anything where a missed task could cause harm. It sends no notifications or alarms.

10. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranty that it will be error-free, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose, or that data will never be lost. The app is at an early version (1.0.0), and we may change or stop supporting features. Some places do not allow these exclusions, so they may not apply to you in full. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

11. Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit or opportunity arising from your use of the app. Where the law does not allow us to exclude or limit liability, for example for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, that liability stays. Because the app is free, any liability we do have is limited to the extent the law permits. [ATTORNEY TO CONFIRM CAP, IF ANY]

12. Ending your use

You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. The app has no accounts for us to suspend. We may stop offering or supporting the app, or withdraw it from Google Play, at any time. Sections that by their nature should continue (ownership, disclaimers, liability, governing law) survive. Uninstalling removes the app's data from your device as described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will post the revised Terms on this page with a new effective date, and give any additional notice the law requires. If you keep using the app after a change takes effect, you accept the revised Terms, to the extent the law allows. If you disagree, stop using the app.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, subject to any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live. Disputes may be brought before a court with jurisdiction under applicable law. This does not take away any right you have under the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence.
